As part of my search for a meme, I was not only inspired by The Carrie Diaries. I scrolled through the trend predictions on WGSN for what could be to come from designers for SS14. I quickly spotted a recurring theme of trend forecasts channeling the 80s. As an original product of the 1980s myself these contemporary twists on what was cool way back then was jumping off the screen at me. Words such as Electric Dreams, Rebellious and Expressive are quite positively influenced by the decade.
